Courtesy of American Airlines, the team is now in a hotel in Miami awaiting the next scheduled flight bound for Port au Prince. Hurricane Hanna is hovering over the area and causing delays. At this point, the earliest possible departure for V-Team will be Wed. morning.

The SpotMe locator is now sending signal and the tracking map is updated. Click the link and see.

From the airport...

Our first video blog!

Hurricanes...need I say more?

We are in miami right now, our flight at 6:50AM to haiti was cancelled due to weather. We are on standby for 10:25AM. Pray that God works thru this situation and gets us safely to haiti. We know it is in his time and we need not be impatient. Thank you for your Prayers! Also pray for haiti, they are experiencing a lot of turmoil from these recent hurricanes, which could drastically change the look of our mission work in haiti. Thanks.

Christian is listening to his favorite band...

Something most of you don't know about me...My favorite band is Underoath. They are a christian rock/metal band from tampa and the best way to describe them is warriors for Christ (on stage/on CD), but enough about who they are...I saw on their website about a month ago that they would be releasing a new album (lost in the sound of separation) on September 2nd. Instantly, i was thinking "OH NO!!, I'm not gonna be able to get it", but then i saw an option to preorder on iTunes, so i took that route, and about 45 minutes ago, florida time, at 12:02 AM, i was able to download my fav bands new, might i say AWESOME album, my favorite song sofar is 'desperate times desperate measures'. So, i am sitting, leaned against a post in a miami terminal listening to it, while andrew and evan take their turns sleeping, i get my turn in a few hours! Have a good one everybody, and please, send us emails and skype us if you have a chance!

The fun of the weekend is over...

the new adventure begins.
Denver International Airport. American Airlines Check-in and Departures. Friends and family of V-Team gathered, hugged, gave blessings, laughed, cried, smiled, cried some more, then held hands in a big circle, and prayed. When the clock ticked to 10:50 am the Team and families walked slowly toward security, and said final goodbyes. The guys rode down the escalators and into their Global adventure.

Prayer -- Matt Parker led the group in a send-off prayer.

Away they go ... to the gate, and into the world!

For more pictures, photo albums can be found on FaceBook. 'Got a question about that? Email them to: worldboundmissions@gmail.com

Apparently the spotMe locator had to be turned off in the airports. You will be able to find and track the Team again, once they are free to reconnect. Stay posted...

From Denver

We are at the hotel, packing up after breakfast, and getting ready to head out to the airport.
The SpotMe link is now cleared and running... so you can watch the families en route.  We aren't sure if the locator will be allowed on the plane, and allowed to track their progress in the air.  We'll see... but Dallas, and Miami, and Haiti will be the next locations up on the Google map docket.

The Outlaws, Stookeys, Leighs, Luke Willoughy, and Kelli Ignatius all had a great time yesterday.  After a picnic in the park, we all headed to the Denver Aquarium and had a blast together!  After a swim in the pool and dinner at Country Buffet, we all goofed around and laughed a lot before heading to bed.  (Watch for pix to be posted later).

In five minutes, after the current pillow fight ends, we will head downstairs and off to the airport.

From Christian:

The day is finally here and come a lot faster then we expected.  I'm excited and ready to go.
Thanks for your prayers and support for the last two years since we started planning this.
Good-byes haven't been hard yet, but I feel like today is going to be different.  Even though it's gonna' be sad, it's gonna' be good to go.

See you on Skype!
